Anuradha (Anu) Iyer M.Sc., M.Phil. (Biochemistry) serves on the Board of ActivPower as its Chief Quality Officer.
Dr Rajeev Khanna joins the ActivPower Advisory Board overseeing the growth and expansion of its Human Division. A highly respected and well-regarded General Internist, Dr. Khanna has been the past Chairman of the Dept of Medicine at HCA Reston Hospital Center, Reston, VA. He was also the President of the Washington DC Physicians from India and the Founder & Chairman of The Greater Washington Association of Physicians from India which covers the Tri-state region of Maryland-Washington DC & Virginia. He remains in active practice as an internist in Virginia and is also active in clinical research. Dr. Khanna brings to ActivPower his deep relationships with the regional and National physician community in the United States and his understanding of the unique concerns and issues relating to the delivery of healthcare from the hospital; boardroom to the trenches of community medicine.
Anu has a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, Master’s degree in Biochemistry and Master of Philosophy degree in Biochemistry & Immunology and she brings her skills in product quality that has been honed in the research labs of The National Institute of Immunology, The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Harvard Medical School and the Dept. of Neurosurgery at Georgetown University. She is highly trained with multidisciplinary skills in molecular biology, biochemistry, peptide/protein chemistry. At Harvard, Ms. Iyer specialized in research on the genetic basis of tissue repair and regeneration and whole limb regeneration, which drive much of ActivPower’s product development in muscle power and vitality. She brings her great skills in operational efficiency to the R&D effort and production line of ActivePower Inc. ensuring that we fulfill our commitment to quality and resource utilization every time.
Cheri Garvin, RPh, is the President and CEO of Leesburg Pharmacy and The Compounding Center in Leesburg, Va., and an acknowledged leader in the compounding pharmacy and independent retail pharmacy industry. As an industry leader, Cheri routinely serves as a resource to local legislators and regulators and works with the US Congress and representatives of the Drug Enforcement Agency on issues concerning the pharma industry.
Known in the industry as Dr. Srini Srinivasan, Dr. Vijay Raghavan Srinivasan served the United States Pharmacoepia over a 29-year career that culminated as the organization’s Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Srinivasan is a legend in the pharmaceutical industry, having personally authored the specification monographs on a vast number of natural, semi-synthetic and synthetic compounds. These monographs serve as the guidelines governing the use of these compounds all over the world. Possessed of an encyclopedic knowledge of regulatory arcana, manufacturing criteria, vendors and manufacturers all over the world, Dr. Srinivasan is an invaluable member of the ActivPower team and serves the Board as its Science Advisor.
Vasantha Narayan serves on the board of ActivPower as its CFO. With over 20 years in US tax and accounting law, she oversees all the financial matters concerning the lifeblood of this startup enterprise.
Jeff Batiste is Vice President, Client Engagement-Vertical Markets at Lexis Nexis-Insurance Data Solutions (IDS) since 2003. He brings a depth of experience that spans over 23 years spent at Johnson & Johnson and then at Quaker Oats and American International Group and now with Lexis Nexis. He brings his expertise in Multi-disciplined Sales & Marketing with extensive experience in Sales Management, Business Development, Distribution Management, Organizational Design, Campaign Management and Sales Forecasting to the ActivPower Advisory Team.
Rakesh Gopalan is a Partner at McGuire Woods LLP and specializes in corporate and securities law and advises ActivPower Inc on all matters of Corporate Affairs. Rakesh has an extensive experience in complex technology and outsourcing deals, public company securities issuances and reporting requirements, private- and public company mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate and transactional matters. He is actively involved in diversity and inclusion efforts within the firm and the legal community, including through his work as a founding member and current board member of the Charlotte Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
The technology transactions portion of his practice focuses on representing companies of all sizes, both on the vendor and customer sides, with respect to transformative information technology (ITO) and business process outsourcing (BPO) and insourcing, enterprise resource system deployment and restructuring, software and other licensing arrangements (including open-source components, shrink-wrap and click-wrap agreements), telecommunications, Internet service provision, Wi-Fi, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and other vendor and supply chain procurement matters.

Anita Raghavan serves on the ActivPower Board as its COO and oversees both Human and Animal divisions of the company. Anita Raghavan is a former management consultant with Booze Allen and Hamilton as well as Ernst & Young, has 12+ years of experience in managing performance improvement programs through process improvements, technology-enabled solutions, business model changes, and capability building. Her experience spans several industry segments including media and entertainment, retail, government, and engineered products.
Shalini Raghavan is L’O’Real – India’s Chief Marketing Officer and brings the strength of over 17 years of creative innovation and thought leadership in the creation of strong brand identity across diverse platforms with special emphasis on digital and social media.
Shalini is today recognized as India’s foremost influencer in brand marketing and serves the ActivPower Board as its Brand Marketing & Messaging Advisor.

Russell Sharifi has been an Executive Sr. Program Manager (PM) with over 20 years of Information Technology (IT) and business management experience in both the government and private sector. He has extensive experience in the areas of program management, policy and process development, program analysis, vendor management, program delivery and playing key roles in accomplishing business objectives. He is a results driven business development leader with a unique facility for designing and implementing business objective that meets service delivery needs. Mr. Sharifi will drive the Sales and Marketing team of ActivPower in collaboration with other members of the management and advisory board.
As ActivPower Inc visionary founder and CEO, Dr. Iyer received his physician training at Nalanda Medical College, Patna, India and his graduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi, India. After finishing two postdoctoral research fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, and The Children’s Hospital & Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA, Dr. Iyer completed his residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University Medical School, Washington DC.
He was well known as the founding physician of The Iyer Clinic that has won Top Doctor Awards annually for 6 years and has served HCA Reston Hospital Center for 8 years as Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Dept. of Medicine.
Dr. Iyer is an active competitor in police-dog style sports (popularly known as “Schutzhund”), and he also used these systems and strategies to benefit the competitive edge of his dog and himself in the sport. He founded ActivPower Inc in May 2016 to bring these systems and products to the broader human athletic, active adult and the senior adult market as well as the pet and K-9 market in response to a growing interest in these products from his patients and from his friends in the competitive dog-sport and Law-enforcement community.
